Love Your Mess (Written for Brittany Nyenhuis)

Brittany Nyenhuis has a business called Love Your Mess - so when I sat down to write the lyrics, I knew it had to be more upbeat and hopeful. Brittany has this contagious smile, so I wanted people to "feel" that in the song. It had to be her owning her spot on the WHEN Stories stage talking about her own mess and sharing moments that recently happened to her/for her.  I also wanted to capture a significant moment in the bridge of the song.  I knew once she listened to it - she would know exactly why I chose those words.
