Better Than Before (Written for Kelly White)

Kelly White and I have known each other for many years, so I knew a lot of her story. Kelly and her daughter, Abigail have a podcast called The Mother Daughter Journey - so I wanted to capture some of their relationship as well as many of the obstacles they have faced along the way - including having to put boundaries up around family. Kelly likes pop and country music, so I wanted this to have a bit of an undertone of country to it. The idea is that none of us are perfect, no matter how much therapy and communication we have. So, Better Than Before signifies leaving people better than we found them and doing our best to heal ourselves so we can be better people for each other.
